Well I'm back again. Been trying to upload some photos for some time but the blogstream seems intent on denying me this right. Despite my best efforts, I remain thwarted so I have resorted to a traditional literary update.
Christmas was again a time much anticipated yet best soon forgotten. The previous two Christmas periods had been times of great stress and certainly not seasons of goodwill. This festive season proved to be no exception.
In a nutshell, someone close to both Louise and I decided that the run up to Christmas would be a good time to wreak havoc and cause much upset. In this respect, that person was successful in upsetting both the Lady and myself but at least we had eachother. Christmas then took a turn for the better though when Lady Louise moved in with me on Christmas Eve.
It's now been nearly a month of living together and we are both very happy. Louise has even developed culinary skills she never knew she had.
The work project I am involved with is progressing well as is the photography course. In respect of the latter, I am going to Italy in February on the photographic course residential, staying in Bergamo and taking in Milan and Lake Garda. Should get some good shots and I'm really looking forward to it, though I will miss my new housemate!
She will be coming with me and my children to Australia (Perth) though later in the year where my sister's family live. My sister has been out there for nearly 15 years and I've never yet been able to get out there, so I'm looking forward to going emmensely.
I suppose that the lessons from all of this are that:
- things much anticipated often fail to live up to expectations
- people can only hide their true colours for so long
- love conquers all!
Here's to 2007!!
